Cycle Analysts

The Cycle Analyst has been our flagship product since we first introduced it as the DrainBrain device in the summer of 2006. It is a universal dashboard for e-bikes and other electric vehicle systems, and has evolved to also include many advanced feedback and control features. The V2 Cycle Analyst range (CA-DP, CA-DPS, CA-HC) was discontinued in late 2021, and currently the more comprehensive V3 Cycle Analysts are produced in a few cable variations.

The CA3-DPS is the only device that still uses the old 6-pin JST plug standard and offers compatibility with our older motor controllers or our standalone CA3 shunt. Equipped with an external speed sensor.

The CA3-WPx with MFSwitch is the best option for most Grin customers. It connects to any of our controllers with the new waterproof CA WP8 plug. It also allows for on/off power control at the handlebar and provides up/down buttons that can be configured to control features such as PAS or power limits.

The CA3-WP is suitable if you do not want the Cycle Analyst to have an on/off switch.

The CA-SA is useful for third-party systems that do not have a 6-pin JST or WP8 connector on their controller. Instead, the CA3 can plug directly into the included 1mOhm shunt.

Finally, the CA3-HC high-current model eliminates a single controller plug and instead uses bare wires with ring terminals to connect to high-amperage current shunt resistors for applications sensing 100A or more.
